drawing of the day #11 - art dump
I mentioned before that May has been a difficult month. The source of that difficulty has already passed, at least, but I still managed to make some art along the way, so I'm dumping them here as a little "sorry I left everyone with a sad note I promise I'm still living despite it all":

Some of these are more doodles than anything, so I'll likely organize my art page to have a separate doodle section. But I'm alive! And still drawing! The only exception is that this first drawing (the one of Nami from One Piece) wasn't actually done recently but done last year while I was on my One Piece binge. I'm still thinking about it. One Piece really does hit so different when you get to catch up to it years after it started. I just needed to post her here because I don't think I've ever shared her anywhere until recently. Considering Concepts as an app doesn't have the same functionality as CSP, I'm very proud of how that turned out.

This was a sketch commission for kypepe on Bluesky! I love his character, she has so much bright energy.

I drew this for Gawai Day. Gawai Day is a celebration that typically marks the end of the harvest season for a lot of Dayak peoples of Borneo (particularly in Sarawak, Brunei and Kalimantan (Indonesia)). My character Nabau is based off on Iban mythology, so it felt fitting to draw him wearing traditional Iban clothing, and a little nod to the state where a huge part of me comes from.
